Hi, I’m Liat
I know trauma and stress, both big and small, and how deeply they can echo in the body. From daily pressure to major events, we acknowledge, re-connect, and make space for aliveness.
After years studying the body–mind connection, I began an MA in Mental Health Counseling. I also hold a PhD and postdoctoral research in Social Ecology and Horticultural Therapy, and I founded Tamim Teas, the nation’s first mushroom tea company. As a mother of two, including a child with autism, I trained in the Greenspan DIR/Floortime Method to deepen relational connection.
I facilitate grief and trauma support groups, teach polyvagal-informed yoga for trauma recovery, and lead individual and group sessions in Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE).
I also offer 1–1 relational coaching for people navigating stress, trauma, and life transitions. And, as a licensed psilocybin facilitator, I provide psychedelic preparation and integration support.
My work is guided by a deep respect for the fluidity of the human experience and our shared journey toward wholeness.
Trainings in Mycology
I offer workshops and trainings on mycology, mushroom cultivation, and cultural uses of fungi. Grounded in my PhD and experience in the mushroom industry, these classes support practitioners, community groups, and anyone seeking a deeper understanding of fungi.
Workshops include:
Introduction to mycology and fungal ecology
Mushroom cultivation trainings and cultural underpinnings
Functional and adaptogenic mushrooms
Fungi as medicine
Psychedelic Facilitation
Psychedelic experiences can catalyze connection, but change unfolds through thoughtful preparation & integration. I weave somatic work, research, clinical training & tradition, attending not only to insight but to how the body processes transformational experiences.
As a licensed psilocybin facilitator, I provide:
Facilitation rooted in Western clinical & traditional approaches
Psychedelic preparation sessions
Integration support
Consultation for practitioners
Support Groups: Grief & Trauma
I facilitate in-person and online support groups for those navigating grief and trauma. There is something powerful about gathering in community—being witnessed in your experience while holding space for others.
My groups focus on:
Psychedelic integration
Antisemitism
Greif and trauma
Community-based healing
1-1 Trauma & Stress Recovery
Trauma is not only what happened but how the body continues to organize around it. Long after an event has passed, the nervous system can remain patterned in protection, tension, or overwhelm, shaping how we feel, relate, and move through the world.
I offer somatic therapy that integrates:
Relational, depth-oriented 1-1 coaching
TRE (tension & trauma releasing exercises)
Somatic experiencing and IFS work
Therapeutic yoga and breathwork for trauma recovery
